Fungal Problems

 

A common condition that disfigures and can destroy toenails. Fungal problems are usually more common in little and big toes and can be:

 

  • Discoloured (usually white or yellow)

  • Brittle

  • Crumbly, or have rough, jagged edges

  • Thick

  • Separated from the nail bed

  • Curled up or down, or are distorted in shape

 

Chronic circulatory conditions increase risk  - ie diabetes

Generally effects over 60 years of age.
